“When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves.”
William Arthur Ward
What We Do
We are a youth development non-profit that serves at-risk youth, student athletes, and the special needs communities between the ages of 6 and 18. We utilize year-round, outdoor sports to engage underserved students in long-term mentor based relationships. Our core value curriculum integrates outdoor experiential education, character building, community service, leadership development, social justice advocacy, peer, and adult mentoring. Through the integration of our CARR program, retreats, boot camps, TWF participants are encouraged to transform themselves and others for the better, focusing on our four core values of choices, attitude, respect, and responsibility.
Who We Are
The Waggoner Foundation staff have a diverse background and extensive expertise, stemming from all over the country. They have an extraordinary commitment to making a difference in the lives of underserved youth. Our Board of Directors is composed of corporate executives, academic experts, and industry leaders who use their skills, expertise, and passion to further the mission of The Waggoner Foundation. Our students are passionate about our program and determined to grow as leaders in the community. Our staff, Board of Directors and students all share in our four core values of the C.A.R.R. system: Choices, Attitude, Respect, and Responsibility.
Who We Serve
The Waggoner Foundation has partnerships with many youth agencies, schools, and afterschool programs. We work together to identify and recruit kids between the ages of 6-18 facing a variety of risk factors, who will benefit most from the principles and programs of The Waggoner Foundation.
